Periodically, Apple releases iPod software upgrades that add features and fix bugs in the operating system that runs the iPod. This upgrade contains over

100 new features for iPad including support for multitasking, folders, unified mail inbox, Game Center, AirPrint, AirPlay, and many system improvements. You need to upgrade that software to run your iPad smoothly. It’s very straightforward to upgrade the iPad software. To upgrade the software required internet connection and iTune in your PC.

1. Connect your iPod to your computer with a USB connector
2. Click on iPad in the iTunes left sidebar and then click Summary tab
3. iTunes will automatically check new firmware upgrades
   If there is an upgrade you’ll see an upgrade window appear
4. Click Upgrade to start the process
5. Another box will appear basically verifying the upgrade from Apple
6. You will now get some information on whats new in this upgrade. Click Next. Continue past the User Agreement
7. Now iTunes will begin downloading the new iPad software
8. When the download finishes, it will extract the software and upgrade iPad software
9. The iPad will restart itself to complete the firmware upgrade

For upgrading iPad software you need internet connection and newest version of iTune software on your PC. Before you disconnect your iPod, click the Eject button from the Controls menu
