The basic use of having Geo location feature is that the browser will be able to communicate the location of the computer to the website. The location based browsing is enabled by default in Firefox. Some websites have location aware features that can help you find local shops, restaurants, deals and direction. Disabling geo-location in Firefox will just prevent Firefox from sending your location to Google and other websites that request permission
- Open your Firefox web browser
- Go to the address bar and type about: config
- When you see the this might void your warranty warning, just Click I’ll be careful, I promise
- In the Filter box, Type geo.enabled
- Right click the preference from the list and choose Toggle
- Then it should change the value from True to False
- Restart your browser
- Now the location based browsing is disabled on your browser
If you want to enable this feature again then just double click on geo.enabled then it will be changed the value from False to True
